I think this is fairly close, but I'm thinking those G2's are over 12". I'd say 13" for G2 and 11" for G3. I think the beams are over 25" as well.

EASILY grosses over 160.

It's spotty here. There have been a 183 gross and a 148 gross killed in the last couple weeks though so definitely some movement.

RE: Brothers Buck. Score?

That deer is a dandy. Let's add it up for a gross score.

The spread appears to be about 17 1/2
Beams are nice so lets call them 24+ 24 = 48
G1 (brows) appear to be about 9" total
G2 about...

RE: How was your opening Wisconsin gun hunt?

No, you get a buck tag VALIDATION for each doe you shoot in EAB units. You still are issued only ONE buck tag for firearm season. The only way you can legally tag 2 bucks is if you also archery hunt.

RE: How was your opening Wisconsin gun hunt?

First off how do you get 2 buck tags in WI? You are only issued ONE gun buck tag. Nice bucks I just hope someone else tagged one of them.

I saw 10 bucks Saturday. One was a 140 class 8 pointer....

RE: Ancient warrior??

Greg, deerage.com.

I had one done that way 2 years ago. My taxidermist aged the deer at 3 1/2 by tooth wear. Cementum annuli aging showed the deer was in fact 5 1/2 as I originally suspected....

RE: Are we running out of Big Bucks in some states?

I had a pretty poor early bow season here also. We have a good number of deer. I believe the reason I'm not seeing as many is we have had to deal with standing corn later than usual and we had the...

RE: Monster Iowa Buck...Biggest 8 ive ever seen

Wow!

5" of brows
26" of G2's
24" of G3's
56" of beams
22" spread
40" of mass

That's 173 and I might be short on tines / mass.

RE: Score this one

Assuming that deer has a decent spread and decent brows I really think it will gross in the low-mid 150's. That's a very nice rack.

RE: FIELD AND STREAM BUFFALO COUNTY BUCK IS DOWN!

I'd guess not even a state record. It's got wayyyy too many non-typ points to even score typical.

I'd guesstimate that rack at 220 range for total gross score...but who knows.

RE: Top end bucks in your area

St. Croix County, WI. I'd say a real good buck is 150+ and 160's being real thin here. There are deer that go booner and even some typicals seen in the area each year that should gross closer to 200".

I'd bet this deer will have a perfectly normal rack next year. Funky stuff on 1.5 year olds is very very common IMO. He'll probably be a nice basket 8 pointer next year.

As far as baiting goes....
