And people it is not your job to criticize every photo and claim that comes across these threads. You should congratulate the accomplishments of your fellow hunters and not call them liars or pick fights.

When you put up a pic of a buck and post its score as 228 inches of horn, you oughta make sure that is what is there, or at least close. If I went to a fishing site and posted a 3 lb bass as a 14 lber...don't you think folks would balk? That is a very good analogy of the posted score of this buck...it isn't even close. And yes, it is easy to tell that from one pic...those that try and stick up for the guy posting that score simply don't comprehend the exageration at hand I guess.

Matters not to me about baiting or low fence (he did say low fence). Still a great buck and a congrats to the kid.

My problem is that your advertising that same inflated score on the website for your ranch, thats rediculous and very unethical from a business standpoint. Any educated hunter coming across your page is going to see right through it, so its probably losing you business instead of gaining you some. MY 0.2 cents

Beautiful buck, but I also question the 228 score - still a trophy though. Fantastic Beam length, good mass, great G2's and G3's

Either way it's a great buck. Bait or no bait it's still a great buck. If you like to bait...if you don't like to bait then don't. Why hate the baiters???

169 GROSS. So if the rack is 100% perfectly symmetrical it's a 170 net non-typical deer...using my best guess on measurements. I agree with posters above if you are going to boast a score, know what you are doing. I suppose if you added tip to tip spread and greatest spread to the total then you are in the 225 range...lol..
