RE: savage accu trigger

I love the accutrigger on my new savage .308. I had a Remington 7600 and that trigger was as mushy as a rotten apple compared to this one. Mine's set at 3 pounds but is crisp enough that I didn't...

RE: gps q's

Let me clarify. Your right accuracy doesn't mean a thing if you can't get a signal. No matter what brand you get Magellen, Garmin whatever, if you want to get the best signal look for a unit that...

RE: Hunter shoots 5 dead

This is a sad, sad, senseless thing to happen. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families. This man is a murderer and needs to be punished. That said let me make a correction to a previous...

RE: Deer Aren't Dropping

I would also have to agree that you are expecting too much if you think that the deer will fall over right away every time. I've had a deer run over a hundred yards and when I field dressed it I...

RE: gps q's

Depends on what you want to do with a gps. If you just want to be able to have the unit get you back to the truck if you get turned around the cheap ones will do fine. If you want to download topo...

RE: Shot gun Info

I've never shot it but a freind of mine bought one that he uses to shoot trap with. The trigger was awful on it but once he got that fixed he has been hitting a lot of birds with it.

RE: Pistols for dummies

Probably just me but I would rather have a double action revolver in .44 mag if I was worried about bears. I don't want to have to remember about cocking it under stress. A double action .44 with a...

RE: Wood or Synthetic

Wood is prettier when they are new, but a synthetic stocked gun looks new practically forever. I have a remington 870 with a synthetic stock that is about 14 years old and it still looks brand new. ...

RE: Charles Daly Shotguns

Thanks for letting me know about the chokes. It was a synthetic stocked gun also. I am kind of leaning that way. I'm having a hard time justifiying spending more for a shotgun then I did for my...

Sorry for your bad luck but you must have gotten that one in a million bad shell. I've never used anything but Corelockts for hunting and never had a problem.

RE: best gun for the money: should be some fun to keep us going untill our seasons start

Without a doubt a Savage Weather Warrior stainless with the synthetic stock and the new accutrigger. Hard to beat for the price. That's why I bought one. ;)

RE: Deer rifle for the little woman

Whitetails will definately be the largest animal she will hunt for. In PA where we live they only issued 40 elk tags for the entire state.

RE: Deer rifle for the little woman

Speaking of lever actions, one other gun we were considering was a Winchester 94 compact in .357 Mag. She liked the idea of being able to practice with .38 special rounds and then hunting with the...
