Usthe straight clamp and just put as much offset as you can get.This works for me.On some skinny carbons you cannot get the vane/feather to stay on the shaft with a helical clamp.

I find it easier to guesstimate half the distance,then double it.I also will use 10 yd increments to half way to double check.Using a rangefinder to verify yourestimate really helps.
