777 use in Omega?

Triple Se7en is one of them powders that works real good for you or not at all. Granted some of the rifles will get a crud ring but not one that I have not been able to remove with just a simple swabbing of the barrel. Also some rifles do not. My White Rifle for instance I have shot over twenty rounds of conical with 777 with no problem.

The one thing I like about 777 powder is the power, the clean up, and the ignition seems real good in loose form.

Here it is in plain English .... Wet patch dry patch after EVERY shot. Not just because it will load better but also and most of all for ACCURACY! Give your barrel and the load you put in it the same environment every single time!

By the way... 2- 50gr pellets of 777 and 1- 250gr shockwave is a great starting point and should give you great results.

I had the same problem with loading the 2nd shot but after switching to 777 primers I can now reload without swabbing.(everytime). I didn't think that primers would make that big of a difference, but they really do!

When I am sighting in a gun or working up a load I will swab between shots.But....in a hunting situation I don't want a set up where I HAVE to swab the barrel in order to load the gun properly ie no vapor space between powder and bullet.While muzleloading is usually a one shot deal,I have had to make some follow up shots on animals.777 is a fine powder and the Omega is a good gun,just the combo of the two has issues.I have tried the kleenbore primers I may give the 777 primers a shot.Iwould rather use 777 as it is more readily available.I do like the 250 grain shockwave and 100 grains of 777.that is a killer load.
