I think he shot the moose in self defense.In that situation you can throw the bowhunter ed books out the window,however shooting an animal that is facing you is sometimes not a good idea.To answer an earlier question,they were calling the moose,grunting too him.During the rut they get very aggressive.

djeesssss, even though I allso thought it was a bad angled shot, he had to take it, if he didn't I think the bull would have grabbed him on his rack.
my first kill won't be a moose then, I guess....
