I need a quiet rest...
#1

Since i got my bow ive been fighting with a 2 prong rest that wont seem to shut up when i draw, even with moleskin on all points of contact. it makes a noticable ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff sound when i draw, and i wanna get one that wont do that. I'll be gettin a bonus from work this week and would like to put no more than $40-50 into a new rest, does anybody have any suggestions for a rest in this price range that is really quiet? i'd rather not be changing my setup in the middle of the season, especially this close to the rut, but i doubt i'll be able to take a deer with this rest. i had a deer jump the string last year because it heard me draw back. Thanks for the advice.

I just put on an NAP QuikTune 2000 this afternoon. Shot it about a dozen times and it seems like a great rest, if you like drop-aways. The two prongs are teflon coated and very quiet as the arrow is pulled across them. I paid $35, but it was on sale. Normal price is about $10 higher.

you hit the preverbial nail on the preverbial head!
it is not always the rest or what you use to silence it is often the arrows that is making all the noise. I have found that carbon arrows with no finish at all are quieter on the draw than camoed or enamel finishes when using mole skin on the rest.
