Mule Deer will eat from a feeder. Also a feeder is not bothered by lack of rain fall. Use protien feeds that are digestable to mule deer set up some game cameras and see what shows up.

cut some leave some, if you can cut hay off some it removes a lot grass so forbes and clovers can come up. also be careful not to let too much dead grass build up itcould become a fire hazard

I read some areas had 30% deer winter loss but elk did much better than deer. Hunting brings a lot of money toCo.small towns if you have a tag go enjoy the hunt there is still plenty of game.
