RE: Who makes rifles chambered in .280?
I have a Winchester model 70 in .280 Rem. Its a Featherweight model and I put a Q.U.E. muzzle break on it that acts like the Browning boss system. I have this gun shooting 1/2" Groups at 100 yards. I am not sure if Winchester is currently offering model 70's in .280, but if you can find a used one in good shape I would buy it.

my other guns look like new, my 280 has been all over the west, texas, kansas, mexico and looks well used
there is a good reason for that in my mind , its the gun ive got the most confidence in, shoots 1.5 inch at 200yrds every time.

The .280 is a very good caliber. Guns in that caliber wouldsell much better today except for the fact that Remington had to mess aroundand re-name the round the "7mm Express Remington": When that name bombed they went back to .280 Remington.
