I've taken a lot if bears with a 7mm using 175gr CorLoks they do fine from a bait station. If it was me though I'd get rid of the scope while hunting from a stand.

I mostly use bait stations just because it more practical. I just get in the stand in the late afternoon and stay until it get to dark to shoot sometimes later if there is some decent moon light....

I haven't measured his skull but I don't consider it a trophy since I shot it trying to get into our cache. His hide was just over 6'2".

My largest went 201/2" most of the ones I get are 17" to 19". Our management unit is over crowed with bears so I think there is a lot of in breeding which doesn't do well for the trophy population.
