I am going to Alaska next summer and as such was looking at the hunting seasons. It looks like there are seasons open starting in August, so should I try my hand at hunting while I'm there? This would be the first time I've hunted outside of New Jersey so I don't know where to start... I'm flying into Anchorage but right now everything else is still flexible.

Any idea what you would like to hunt? Or what part of the state?

iam very familular with the southern end of alaska i was born and raised in cordova hunted around seward and valdez alot also not to far trip from anchorage like akchuck said any clue on what your going after? bears moose ect
