Started shooting with fingers 15 years ago. Tried a release once, but never could make it feel right. IMO with fingers, there's one less moving part to worry about failing or maintaining.

Looking fora reasonable Remington 11-87 or 1100 with 3" chamber & vent rib. Prefer synthetic stock & matte finish. Might consider other makes of similar style. I live in North Texas.
