Rangefind or Binoculars?
Okay, I am looking to buy a Rangefind, just because of what it does. I also want to use it for binoculars. I tried them out in the store, but is it a good idea to use them as binoculars too?
If not im just gonna buy bino's.

RE: Rangefind or Binoculars?
I have both. Leica LRF1200 range finder and Nikon Monarch 8x42 binocs. I definately use the binocs more, but if you are hunting open country and/or have the possibility of long, unknown range shots, the range finder is almost a must. We were hunting antelope in SE Wyoming 2 weeks ago. I'd have probably been unsucessful if I had not had both. I saw on TV last night that Bushnell makes a range finder/binocular combo. Bushnell would not be my choice in optics, but you might check it out. Good luck.
