RE: TEXAS Hot as H.ll!
Cold front due through hill contry Texas Thursday morning. . .I leave Wed. night and I will be out before first light. Also haven't seenmuch moon lately, should help a bit too. They claim the highs will be in the 70s. I hope to get a blackbuck in the freezer before gun seasons starts, I saw a nice shooter a few weeks back when out for Dove. Will be nice to be the only person on the 2300 I hunt for a few days. Fill my feeders, charge batteries, last minute tweeks to my chairs and some nice quiet time.

Bryan/College Station has been around 100 every day as well. Hunted
Saturday and Sunday and saw a few does but not much moving. Sweating like I stole something didn't help I'm sure. We are supposed to get the cool front as well.

Hunting near Goldthwaite, Mills County. Was awful hot Saturday afternoon, but deer were moving late. I saw 8, one buddy saw 14, other one saw 4. Looking forward to this weekend with a break in the heat. Nothing like bowhunting Texas in October. Swatting mosquitos and dodging wasps and rattlesnakes. [:@]

Its been off and on, when Rita was blowing in from the coast there were whitewings everywhere, andI was able to get my first double ever, other than that it has been rather patchy, with the birds often flying high and out of range
