.22 easy.

As to range, I dump them both at 200 yards all the time. Not really that big of an issue save on really windy days.

There's a difference between taking a risk and taking an unsafe shot. There is no way that this was a safe shot, and if you think it could be, stay out of the woods. It's very simple.

CCI does still make the Blazer ammo in .22 LR. The .22 LR Blazer line existed long before the new "cheap" centerfire line.

CCI Blazer .22 LR is very inexpensive, about 87 cents per 50 in case...

Why do I want one? Because stock .45 ACP in a short barrel is going to be subsonic. Being subsonic it's going to suppress easily. Being a bolt action it will be quieter than a Marlin Camp Carbine in...

The .22 LR will probably be your best bet...it's more rounded in it's application, use, and cost.

My guess is at a later date you may want to pick up a .17 HMR bolt gun for a little more fun.

Find landmarks in your hunting zone, range to them and memorize the ranges...that way when a deer comes into...

The most common is c-t-c. If you measure outside to you are penalizing yourself when you use larger ammo.


Think about it if you shot .25 inch group c-t-c in in .22 LR your group would be .47...

If they can't name the mfg then it doesn't matter what they say. I would go with the RRA...probably one of the toughest and most exacting lowers out there.
