The most active rubbing times here in the Southern Mnts. is Oct-Nov. but it begins in Sept. I have found rubs in Mid-Oct. that were several weeks old and had to have been made in Sept.

You guys are kidding about "not eating an albino" right?

The meat is no different, the albino deer dosen't produce skin or eye pigment. That's the only difference from a normal deer.

In a deer-rich area, no I would wait for another buck.

In my area, YES, Poaching is vicious and year round. If I didn't take him in legal season he would surly be killed illegal, out of season

When do Bucks start Rubbing in your area?

Here in the Souhtern App. Mnts where I hunt, I have found rubs as early as Sept., They may have been made in late August but I'm not too sure about that.

I have never done this but know a guy who is an expert groundhog killer. He uses a 22 Hornet and swares by it. He kills about 10 per year on his farm and has done so for many years.

Same here, when the acorns are scarce, the bear are really moving and the kill #'s go up. I think we will have a lot of acorns in my area this year and the game won't move much.
