FM 2-way radios

I am looking into buying FM hand held 2-way radios, does anyone have any experience with these or know what to look for when buying. We have in the past tried Motorola's & Midlands. Both do well in...

RE: 25 wssm?

I won one (.25 wssm) a couple of years ago. Have been hunting with it for the last 2 years. Nice little gun, I've taken 3 bucks with it and all 3 dropped in their tracks. Ammo is the only hang-up...

RE: thoughts on 25-06 for hunting deer

I haven't had any experience with the 25-06 but I do have with a 25 wssm which is pretty close. And as far as I'm concerned it will take anything you want to in WV. (assuming that's where you do your...

RE: Any Harrison/Marion county WV hunters here?

I live in Clarksburg, knew John very well along with his family. Actually it's right at 2 years since John passed. John was a good man & raised a good family.

RE: WEST VIRGINIANS how do you feel about point restrictions?????

The farm I hunt in Dodd. Co has a self imposed antler restriction rule on it. (Must be racked) It's been in effect for 6 years now and it works. I don't think it will ever happen state wide though. I...

RE: Lab question

I would say it weighed around 45 to 50 #.
I had also heard about the duck hunter thing with the smaller Labs. Makes sense.
Arethere any breeder that breed smaller for those purposes ?

About a week ago while traveling I stopped at a Rest Area, a man & women were there letting their Lab do it's business. As I was walking back to my car I commented on what a good looking pup they...

RE: Gun Safes

I bought a Stack On from Dick's Sporting Goods this past fall. Not sure what the fire rating is, it holds up to 36 guns. I had to take the door facing off going into the room that I put it in. I...

RE: Don't expect any antler restrictions in WV

Pro-Line, the deer run off our property also, but they seem to return sooner or later. But now when they run off they aren't being blasted as often as they once were. The timbering & food plots seem...

RE: Don't expect any antler restrictions in WV

1,000 acres would be ideal, we have approx. 425, give or take a few. One of the bigger obstacles we had to overcome other than the neighbors shooting what we let go for the 1st 2 or 3 years, was...

RE: WV Antler Restriction

A step in the right direction that's for sure. Another would be to reduce the number of antlered deer a year a hunter can take. The way it is now I think a hunter can take 6 antlered deer per year....

RE: Tom Miranda?

Sometime alittle to dramatic for me. Another thing not only with his shows but the majority of them is that they seem staged. Like after a kill is made the camera goes past the animal & gets shots of...

I think what Pa, Ar & other states are doing with restrictions are good ideas. Here in WV there aren' t any, it' s pretty much up to the hunter. In WV we are allowed to take too many bucks in the...

RE: 835 Mossberg 3 1/2 why not?

I've had mine for 2 years now & like it alot. Only thing I did to it was put a Red Dot on it & switched to a Gobblin Thunder choke. Both choke & gun are ported so the kick isn't as bad as it could be.
