That is pretty much how it is for me. Bowhunting is more personal/relaxing by myself, where rifle hunting is family bred and more of a time spent with others type of hunting.

All three of these bucks were taken in WV. Only the first one was taken with a bow. Nothing all that big. 1st-9point, 2nd- 6piont, 3rd-4/shoulda been an 8point.

Usually one for me and the wife, if I get a second one it usually gets used by my parents and brother. My family usually bucthers a steer or two, so that supplements the venison.

The only thing that I kinda regret is some bad ill-advised shots. All deer we're recovered, and I'm learning from them so not a totally regret. Sometimes wish I woulda hunted more in High School...

I would have to say envy. There are a lot of people that see numerous deer (even large bucks). I'm lucky if I see 10-20 deer (with most of them being does)on stand in a season, let alone have a shot...

I've had a pair of fisher walk by at about 50 yds out, not common at all around me, only ones I've seen. Had a neighbor walk under me, he was practically under me by the time he seen me.
