RE: How Many

If it's a Hog I'll shoot anything I have on hand. Most of my varmint hunting is done with a 22-250. I sometimes take my .260 Rem on 'yote hunts.
The small critters are dispatched with one of my .22...

Just about any bullet will work on "deer sized" game including elk, as far as the .280 Rem. I've had good results with the Winchester Fail Safe's over the Nosler Partitions. I had Federal premium in...

RE: New Mexico Monster Bucks

This is true, also the hunting pressure is low compared to other states like Colorado. The biggest buckscome out of areas like 2a and 2b. I've been hunting in unit 16 and 24 areas since the early...

RE: hello huntingnet.com, My first post and first question

Good choice in caliber, this would be mine if I only had one big game rifle.
One of the most choices in over-the-counter bullet weights around. 150gr would be best for deer and up to 165gr for...

RE: How wide and old?

This buck will go over 20" easy. I have seen plenty of 20"-21" Whitetails and this buck rolls right in with them.

I've used Federal in a lot of applications and had good results. I'm not sure if the Federal Barnes TSX is the same bullet as the Barnes X-Bullet.
I've used PMC in some of my handguns for practice...

What, no Mark Drury or Mike Eastman?
Both fair chase hunters, and very good at what they do.

RE: How wide and old?

18" are you kidding? This guy will go at least 22", but won't score over 140 due to the short tines. About a 3.5 y.o.. A nice buck by all means.

Most coons in the wild will not go into cage traps. There has to be no human sent around and the cage has to be well camoflaged. I learned from an 80 yr. old man the old school way, good 'ole steel...

RE: Primos hunting show makes us all look bad

I like the Primos stuff, they show the good and the bad (misses & hits)
along with everything else (mishaps). I've been hunting for more than 35 years and some of my hunts didn't go as planned.
