Buck Decoy - too early in the midwest?

Scrapes making/usage is really picking up in my neck of the woods. Question for experienced decoy using hunters...is it time to let it rip? or wait another week? I've got a field edge set tonight...

You work hard to find and buy a piece of ground on your own. In the process you do everything, build a pond, plant trees, implement a deer management and sanctuary program, existing stand timber...

1st Wood Duck, advice on taxidermy mount

Got my first Wood Duck yesterday, a beautiful Drake. Would you get the traditional sitting position, or a flying spread....which looks the most realistic and displays the color of the bird the best...

Scary last day of 2007 Early Season

yep - that is the quality I am talking about, the quality is good, but the flash could be much brighter- i guess it is normal - so i should not take it back? the only thing I don't like is the fact...

wildview 2.0 - wal mart $50 -mine does not take very good night pics, you can barely see the deer, i might exchange it if they come out the same way this time, does everyone else get decent night...

Clay Soil Top 3 inches

I have some areas of fill dirt on top of good soil, the clay fill dirt is about 3 inches deep, under that is good top soil. I hit it with lime and fertilizer and planted some clover in Sept of 2006,...

If it is a duck that is a hybrid desendantof a black east indies duck, would you then not get it mounted? I shot this duck on public ground, it came in with 2 other mallards, a drake and hen pair...

i just sort of dumped 3/4 of a cup around the tree, some of the pellets may have hit the needles of the pines, i'm hoping a few are just in shock and will come back strong in the spring, i'm not...

i had 200 originally planted, lost 25 over the summer, which is normal, have since lost about 75 from over- fertilizing. Do you think some of them that have turned lightly brown already will make it...

planted in early march of 2006, lost some from weed competition over the summer, i fertilized them 1st week of november, since then, several have turned light brown on me.

It is clay, when you say don't be afraid to turn them over, you mean just disc in the existing wheat and clover, add some manure, then plant the trees? Would you bury the manure around the root ball...
