Slugs through a cooey 840 full choke?

Hey guys, I just bought and old cooey 840, barrel reads 2 3/4-3" also "Winchester proof steel" would it be safe to shoot 3" slugs through this gun? Oh its a crack barrel single shot..

It would be the same as counting "clicks" there would just be a mark so you wouldnt have to count, or mess up counting. and diff colors so you don't get confused. I believe i read 1/4in at a hundred,...

It says on the bottle not to leave it in the barrel for more then 15min. On there web site it says this stuff will not ruin your bore, but after it is out the clean steel will rust very very quickly....
