Question about Noslers partition an BST
I was reading the nosler bullet web page and noticed that the ballistic silver tip is coated with lubalox, and the partition gold with molybdenum disulfide(what ever that is..) I'm new to these coated bullets and was wondering if it will effect accuracy if you use both these bullets at the same time, without cleaning in between, or any other problems it may cause...thnx

i don't think you'll notice a major difference provided both shoot close to the same, imo the partition is a far better bullet, however i would find a load my gun likes it may be something else, you only mention the bullets, do you load your own? what kind of range/accuarcy are you looking for?

RE: Question about Noslers partition an BST
The coating on the partition gold is more commonly known as simply Moly. The Lubalox on the BST's is bar far harder. Almost like a paint. The moly is more or less, "Rolled on" It can wipe off pretty easy with just your fingers. I found the lubalox is harder to get out of your bore if you don't clean to bare metal before you shoot them. It "Paints" over your powder, lead, and copper residue. Moly, in my opinion is easier to clean.
