RE: Arrows not flying straight?

Have you retuned your bow since the switch? Changing arrows will change the way the bow shoots, so it may be a tuning issue. It may also be a vane clearance issue, or....more likely, you're torquing...

RE: Speaking of Sheds

They generally start dropping in early January. By early February they're pretty much done, though I've seen bucks still carrying them in late February into early march.

RE: My AlphaMax 35 has arrived.....

No. Stock Fuse strings on both. I knew it was going to be a little slower, it's rated 4 fps slower, and the modular adjust cam slow it down a tad. I just didn't expect to lose that much. I'm gonna...

My AlphaMax 35 has arrived.....

Well, it's long anticipated, and it's finally arrived. UPS delivered my AlphaMax 35 to my shop today, which is also the first one we've received. When I took it out of the box, the very first thing I...

RE: Help me decide my arrows for the year....

Thanks, TFOX, for running some numbers for me. I really do appreciate it. And with that, it looks like I'm going with the Aramid this year. It will be perfectly spined for my set up.

No need for apologies brother. We just enjoyed having you around, you definetly brought some fun to the contest this year, and that's what it's about anyway.

RE: Help me decide my arrows for the year....

My shaft length is 28", but I'm gonna lengthen that a little this year to 29 to get a tad better stability, and just a bit more weight.

I appreciate everyone's feedback, because I really don't...

Help me decide my arrows for the year....

I don't know why, I guess just because I can, but I change arrows every year. This past year, I shot the Super Slam in a 2512 and was tickled to death. Well, they don't make that size arrow anymore,...

RE: Feathers?

I'm not Christine, but I'll give my 2 cents anyway. I use the tape, and IMHO for feathers, that's the only way to go. It's quick and is much easier to refletch, especially if your arrows are dipped....

RE: Feathers?

Benefits.

Less weight. More speed. Better FOC. Work very well even if damaged. Can be applied with fletching tape, no need to use glue if you've dipped and or crested your arrows, or even...

RE: hoyt limbs question

98 hit the nail right on the head. You should be able to get your current limbs down to around 67 pounds, if that is low enough for you. Bows work more efficiently on the upper end of their...

RE: Momentum vs KE ....who is switching over this year?

RE: Momentum vs KE ....who is switching over this year?

I've not seen an arrow flying fast enough to only have 4", or less, drop from 20-40 yards. Last year when I was shooting 320 FPS I had 3" from 20-30......And you're saying you have less than that...

RE: Momentum vs KE ....who is switching over this year?

True, but........I don't know of any bowhunters that deliberately aim for the upper 1/3 of a deer's kill zone.* So you're AIMING zone is only about 4". If you're shooting a 20 yard pin at 40 yards,...

People put too much responsibility on the blood trail, or lack thereof, on the broadhead. There are FAR too many variables to hold the head accountable for the trail.
