I put most of my eggs in the riverbottom basket, and didn't really have a back up plan. I've only got 1 treestand,
Sorry to hear Dono.

A victim of pre-conceived notion you were.

Many fall victim to this.. 1 stand where they seem to get it done.. or have taken a good buck from. Then to hunt it too much.

Lesson learned I am sure..?

You've got time still.. keep your head up. Good luck.

It happens, don't let it get you down. mobow, if it were me I'd hunted somewhere else without a stand on the ground. I rarely ground hunt but when I do its this time of year and I've had some success.

I wish I had a dollar for everytime in my early years I ignored all signs that pointed to "You made a mistake" and I wouldn't move in hopes the God's would prove me to be a smart sucker. LOL Way back before all the videos and bowhunters and all that, man I wasted some time. How many times did I sit on a rub or scrape line along a field edge. LOL How many times did I climb into the same stand day after day, seeing fewer or NO deer after 3 or 4 stinky trips in. It's an awful web we weave for ourselves sometimes.
