RE: no harness

I have a question for those that do wear harnesses: Do you have a system in place to catch you if you fall while climbing up to your stand? I'm always strapped in when I'm in my stand, but for my...

RE: Smokin', Chewin', pissin', pukn', Buck killin' machines!

I know what you mean, but it may just be that you're not hunting in the right spots. Last year was my first season bowhunting and I did everything by the book, scent free, playing the wind, etc. I...

RE: comfortable rubber boots?

If you're going to be doing a lot of walking and aren't worried about insulation then I'd say you should definitely go with the Lacrosse Alpha Burly Sport. They're light and super-comfy.

I' d never tried this until this past sunday. I was walking back to my car, and had to go, so I found a likely looking tree with a good overhanging branch and broke the branch. I then peed all...

RE: quistion about stealth cam mc2-g

I' ve been using Polaroid 400 speed. If you buy it at Wally World in a 4 pack it' s just over a dollar a roll, and I' ve had no problems at all with it. The fuji might give slightly better picture...

Slugs for smoothbore Nova?

I' m hunting deer with my smoothbore nova for the first time this season, and I' m interested in hearing which brands of slugs have worked best for others.

I realize that I' ll have to see what...

RE: Layering Clothes

It sounds like you' ve got the right idea with the layers. The only thing I would add is that I usually try to bring a few sets of base layering because after a day in the woods, my synthetic base...

RE: killing a deer every year

I' m at about 20% right now, but in the past I didn' t hunt as seriously as I could have, so the number is probably a bit lower than it could be.

The other thing is that I' ve only hunted in...

RE: Well, ordered my Stealth Cam today

RE: Field points won' t thread into new arrows?

RE: Over Spine

I' m still new at this, so I may be confused, but wouldn' t a 400 be underspined if you needed 300' s? 400' s would be correct if you were shooting ~60lbs, but at 67 you need a stiffer arrow, hence...

If my math is right, you should be able to get roughly 30% more range out of your flash by using the faster film. That's assuming that the flash is firing at peak output.
