I can't really say...they really hold their value. You won't find better prices than on gunbroker either.

RE: 9mm or .45

+1
Shoot what you are comfortable with...shoot it a lot.

For me, I shoot 9mm Winchester cheap stuff out of my P229R at a rate of around 200 rounds a week. I carry my P229R as a 40 SW with 160...

Right down the street from the Richmond VA Gander Mountain is a mom & pop sporting goods store. They get way more business than GM.

RE: 357 mag compare to 44 mag

Go with a pistol, not a revolver - more rounds. Carry something you're comfortable shooting.

RE: thermacell mosquito repellant

I have one and it worked. The thing smells and if I can smell it, you know deer can. That's why I do not use it in the field.

RE: 30-06 Ammunition Help

I believe each gun has its favorite ammo. My TC Pro Hunter HATES Winchester ammo but I can hit a dime @ 100 yds with Federal Premium.

RE: What's your favorite elk hammer?

I use to own a Remington Sendero in 7mm STW - which I sold to LadySooner's son. That weapon has dropped a bull Elk at 428 yds. It is a tack driver too. Pictured below is a 3-shot group at 100 yds.

My 30-06 will kill them just as dead, just as fast. My round of choice is Federal Premium 150 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip.
