I don't think that what you are describing is as much about out of staters as it is about differences in hunters. My old lease was bordered by 120 acres hunted by locals. They hunted by permission of...

RE: Bloomington, IL hunting store

Mt. Sterling area. For a Georgia boy, this will be a cold week. I've hunted mulies, elk, and moose in colder weather, but not whitetails. It's the constant wind that Illinois has that gets me!

RE: Have any Indiana hunters noticed....

Jim, that is the worst thing that could happen if you're a local hunter. Look out for more out of state hunters, more outfitters, higher lease prices, and less land available to you.

RE: Corn harvest in west central Illinois

BHC, That's what I'm hoping. I'll be on my lease in Brown Co. October 11-14 to hang stands and hunt a little. Maybe the corn will be cut by then. It was some of the earliest planted in that area.

RE: Which bino's are you using?

Leupold 8x32 Katmai's for bowhunting because of their size and quick focus.

Leupold 10x42 Cascades for firearms for the extra magnification around fields.

Both are extremely sharp.
