Thank you very much, 2robinhood. I shot him at my farm in Southwest Georgia. We're in pre-rut now and he showed up in a corn patch several minutes after a doe did.
At first I wasn't planning to mount him. In fact, I told my taxidermist yesterday that he could have the cape. As you may know, many taxidermists are asked to work "miracles" on things that have been shot up pretty badly. An extra cape for a little switcheroo can come in handy! Anyway, after showing the picture to a friend this afternoon, I was talked into mounting this one. Since the cape was being held, my change in plans worked out just fine.
