I'm 3 hours south of sydney so I'm a fair way from Darwin, but for some reason I find myself in Darwin from time to time. I wonder if it has anything to do with Buff, Bulls and monster Boars?

I usualy use SSG Buckshot (18 pellet) but the pigs are a bit bigger up north so I'm taking the SG Buckshot, I dont aim for the head when using shot on pigs I find that a shot or two to the chest...

I load 41gr of AR2208 (ADI) similar burning rate to Varget, IMR4064 or AA250 to get just on 3000fps (Hot load!!!) I now load 39gr for about 2800fps but I have yet to clock this load.
43gr of AR2208...

For big game the 140gr Woodleigh is great and the 120gr Nosler will handle anything else, I find that the 120gr is where the 260rem shines.
Out of my little 20" model 7 barrel I load 100gr pills up...

It feeds well as it is the same length as my 270gr Woodleigh’s are and I give them a light crimp, just enough to insure that the neck has a nice firm grip of the pill.

I just settled on a load of 67gr of AR2208 behind the 220gr Taipan flat nose.
The only trouble is that I have to seat the projectiles out so far that the base of the projectile only sits halfway...

I have been told that the 9.3X74R is slightly a different diameter then other 9.3 rounds (kind of like a 303brit compared to a 308) and that getting projectiles and brass down will be difficult.

Yep used both and reloaded both and in my view the 260rem has the edge with bullets 120gr and under and with a longer magazine and more case to play with the 6.5X55 is top’s with the 140-160gr...

My all round rifle is a 375H&H but that’s mostly just fun, if I was to have any gun for the job it would be a Remington 870 with both a rifled and smooth bore barrel.
