RE: Trophy Ridge Sights

I hunted with the micro Matrixv-drive last year. I like it but I am returning to the Matrix Guide .19 5-pin. I find that when hunting simpler is better. I had nothing go wrong last year but the...

RE: Range finder??

Rangefinders are allowed in Idaho unless they are attached to either the bow or the rifle. I have hunted there the last couple of years and after reading the Rick_Reno post, I called Idaho Fish and...

RE: Razorcap Broadheads

Thanks for the input. 5shot, I tried to go on the weblink but no go. Did I get the impression that they do not do well on bone? I have used thunderheads, wasp, interlock and Muzzy's so my...

Razorcap Broadheads

Does anyone have experience with this broadhead? How does it fly? I currently shoot Muzzy's but I am curious about a cut-on-contact head. Thanks, WB

RE: tree stand hunting in idaho

Spot and stalk all the way. This can be a frustrating but fun way to hunt. Pay attention to your conditioning and your wind. You know your really hunting when you get a shot there. I have hunted...

RE: Best Release

I just finished my first complete season with a Tru-ball and it is the best release I have ever owned. My last was a Scott and it was my favorite till I tried the Tru-ball. If there is a local bow...

RE: What did you look for in a sight?

Simple sturdy construction. The more complicated, the more likely to have a problem in the field. Make sure that the fiber does not take too sharp a bend. I have had a few break at the bend and...

RE: I want to hear about bad broadheads?

Thunderheads; good penatration but have lost blades on hitting a rib. Flew very straight.
Muzzys; good penatration, never lost a blade but don't fly as consistant as thunderheads.
When all is...

RE: any ID, SC, or FL bow hunters out there?

If you are thinking Idaho, I assume MHAFB. Lots of great public land and not far from the base. There is also a lot of draw only units in that area so read up on your regs. Good Mule deer country...

RE: Has anyone here ever used

My best experience in carbon has been the Gold Tip and Carbon Express. Worst has been Beman which does much the same as you have described.

RE: trap door rest

I have had a trap door for 3 years and I love it. The noise factor should be solved by the new delrin launcher on the Mach 4 but I am shooting older model. I have read a lot of people on the forum...

RE: Elk Hunt - Idaho or Colorado?

I can only speak to Idaho. I saw well over a hundred in a 5 day hunt there 2 years ago but the closest I got was 80 yards. Very tough country with combined 5 to 8 thousand feet of altiude changes...
