During this time of year deer will travel for mile looking for does. The best way to hunt now is find a funnel and set up for a buck passing through.

It depends on what type of area you are hunting. If you are in rolling country then 16 is good. If you hunt ridge lines and have climb a tree from under the ridge then you will have to be very high....

I hunt in the coalfield in S. West Virginia where farms don't exist. I always have trouble finding the feeding areas that deer visit. The only food they have are scattered out through the mountains....

I would take the first big buck that blessed me with the shot. Then you can hunt the other. If your state only allows you one buck then scout that monster out and hunt him next year.
