Well I talked to some people and we found out that it is Wooly Croton...the bad stuff. It seems that it is quite prevalent in the south in recently disced soil that is sandy. Its hard to get rid of...

alfalfa is great but it is picky about the soil it wants. I would say 6.0pH would be borderline. If everything else was perfect I'm guessing it would grow.

from what i hear, most county extension services will do it for less than $15, I'm not sure on how long to get results, but you don't need a "kit" (unless you are talking about one of those soil...

well im guessing that in order for it to grow that high, you would have to ensure that deer are kept out of it by using something very effective. maybe plotsaver or something similar?

give the roundup 5-7 days, then disc everything under (all the dead stuff). Then you can plant. Not sure if there are actually different types of roundup, just different concentrations

it has been proven many time however that yearlings who are spikes end up smaller than the yearlings who have at least 4 points(forks).

edit: this doesn't mean that you want to shoot them no...
