ruger dont be ashamed of that tasco,, bought one myself-used for 50$$ and i'm pretty impressed with it and my savage .17---1st time out shot 1/4" groups off the top of my backpack at 100 yds!

you must be mounting a scope with an adjustable objective,,, had the same thing happen myself, any time you have an adjustable objective you have to use the next higher mounts. congrats on the new...

ordered the 89$ digital scale from cabela' s i' ' ll be lettin you guys know how this works out,, just from the info obtainable this seems to be just as good as any other, and the cost reasonable.
