Father & Son Hit Luck

My Son-in-law and my grandson, both scored big and all I got was to take their picture. Both Gobblers were taken in Bladen County and both had 1" Spurs and 11 1/2" Beard, Estimated weight 19-21 lbs....

I use 140 Gr Nosler Bullets only, over IMR 4350 and it will do a number on a deer. Very accurate load @ about 2900 fps.

My 7mm 08, shoots 120 Gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips, great, although I use 140 Gr mostly for deer. Might try a lighter bullet, if rifle will stabilize it.

I use a 20Ga. 870 on upland birds and Rabbits and an 870 SP Mag for Deer, Geese etc.. If had to go with only one, think it would the 20 Ga, mainly because of weight.

My walkers get sore feet, but I use Hoof & Heal a horse hoof conditioner. It takes the soreness out and makes the pad flexible and keeps moisture in the pads.

While people have different prefrences when it comes to rifles, one of the most accurate and flat shooting rifles is 270. Have used other rifles and set up a lot of different caliburs with scopes....
