SW Michigan: I was out today “scouting”, which means I took the kids for a walk! Walked a 7 acre area and found no scraps, but I found a beat up pine tree and a 3” diam poplar with a single gouge. I also notice 3 dead deer on the highway, so the deer are moving.

I think the Rut has begun in SW Michigan!

I think ours just kicked off. I was seeing deer every day until 3 days ago and they aren't hitting the same feeding areas. Something disrupted them. It sure wasn't me shooting arrows at them.

Well i know in Schulenburg,TX, the bucks are chasing tail!

I do not think the rut has started up here, but I do think they have started the pre rut though..

Son-in-Law took an 8 Pointer yesterday afternoon and said when he started down from the tree stand there was a larger buck standing over this one. They still traveling together.

Missouri is in Pre-rut from what I can tell so far. only found one bare cedar tree and no scrapes yet. but they are starting to move so it should start kicking good bout the firsts week of Nov.

I don't know if the rut has just quite begun here in Northern Kentucky but it is getting ever so close. More and more rubs and scrapes are popping up everyday but I've yet to see chasing and I've been in the woods a whole lot. I'd say w/in the week it will be a safe bet to say that it has "officially" begun being that Oct. 26th is the Autumnal moon and will kick it off!!!!
