I do not ever remember bashing my fellow hunters ?
As far as I am concerned you can do whatever you want with the 2000 acres you control , but don't try to tell your fellow hunters that the PGC's plan is working for the majority of hunters in PA.

bb you have called me many things . Is the pot calling the kettle black?
AS a citizen of this fine state , I have every right to voice my opinions.
Do you know if i hunt other areas of the state?
I have said before that i like ars but think hr has went to far in some areas.
Just because one owns land doesnt mean he should have a opinions. I pay the same as any other resident, even thou i may or may not use the gamelands.
Furthermore I have had forester, wildlife bio on my place making suggestions, and since they was here on my dollar , I believe them to be working in my best interest.
I think i will trust them, over you sorry, Its just their glass holds more water

A little off topic...but just thinking about how a few "nature lovers" I know that own decent sized chunks of land and NO hunting at all. They have these little sanctuary pockets with much higher DD...no doubt having an effect on their own forest health/ biodiversity, etc....and because those deer naturally disperse from that hub of higher DD...they really shoot themselves in the foot through their own ignorance. But since I live close to one such clown, I say God bless the old fools. They have provided me with venison more than once!

That's why I like my neighbors too!

When I bought my land it was over a seven year period and I bought in many small parcels. The neighbors were pissed because I posted it and ended the doe slaughter. It took years to convince them the value of sanctuaries and undisturbed bedding areas.
Now we all have better hunting they kill a few doe, they shoot some small bucks, that makes them happy and they respect my wishes on driving the woods and senselessly killing does that aren't needed by their families. Hunting is great fun and we are all quite successful at it.

Had a neighbor that was a naturalist, didn't allow hunting he had about 300 acres . Once the ol doctor died i bought the land except the house and a few acres. His wife lived there till she died. That land was thick with underbrush that you could hardly move threw. With loads of deer, But that was many years ago well before hr.

Of course I know the difference between managing an individual property and a statewide management plan. But, you admitted yo had too many deer if you were going to timber next year. You also admitted the crops were planted for the deer rather than to make a profit.
I also know that by managing your land at such high deer densities you are effecting the adjoining properties that may not be managed for deer.
