Temperature and performance
Hi all,
Here it's not uncommon for temperaturs to get up to 100F. In direct sun light object can get much hotter. So a CB can is used at a wide range of temperatures.
How does it effect the properties and performance of the limbs/prod?
In several sessions I began shooting before sunrise, and continued through the day. sometimes leaving the CB in the sun as I walked to the target. It seemed like the point of impact shifts, but I cant tell if it's temperature related.

RE: Temperature and performance
Each bow assembly, limbs / track, etc., will react a little different.
Test yours at different temperatures...see what happens.
My guess, speed may be a little affected, accuracy...probably not a problem.

RE: Temperature and performance
you may have light air issues, cooler maybe faster fps and as the day heats up and air like here becomes humid, i call it muggy maybe slow arrow down 2/3 fps. high altitudes will be thinner air and arrow is faster less resistance

I don't know about heat but air density definitely affects arrows. First time it happened to me, I couldn't understand why my arrows were hitting lower than usual, then remembered that the same thing happened with airgun pellets when the air was dense.

RE: Temperature and performance
I amaware of the air affecting trajectory. the issue I"m talking about is the effect of temperature on the "muzzle" velocity.
I expect the limbs to be softer at higher temps (like any material would be), so they hold less energy. What I don't know, is wheather this effect is neglegable or not (say, more than 3" drop at 40')
I couldnt get conclusive test results myself. I hope someone knows more.
