Accuracy and Temperature

I was wondering if anyone else notices how the temperature affects accuracy. I have certain loads that will shoot tight groups when the atmospheric temperature is in the 70's, but when it goes down into the 30's they aren't grouping as well. Does anyone else have this sort of thing happening to them?

I have tested loads that will do this but only select loads that group well in varying temperatures.Loads that seemed to vary with temperature for me have been the ones where adding or subtracting a grain of powder affected group size. The loads that were unaffected by adding or subtracting a grain of powder also seemed much more stable in varying tempeatures.

YEP ! I had a load i used all most all summer. The temp was in the 90's to 102. It shot 1/4 inch groups solid. {Used it for factory bench rest shoots]. The temp dropped out of the 90"s and so did my groups! It was a ball powder.

Mounting Man,
I don't know what ball powder you are using, I had trouble with AA2230 doing the same thing you mentioned. For my 222 222Mag and 6mm BR I have switched to VV 133 & 135. They are short extruded powders that meter extremely well.
