I ground up about 30 lbs of venison on Sunday. I made my boyfriend help (but we had the grinder situated so that he could still watch the Kansas City game). Didn't take too long. (and the Chiefs lost) I'm a bit jealous of Dan's grinder (the machine, not his wife).

In the past week I've made venison stew, venison burgers, venison tacos, venison stir-fry, roast venison... Tonight, I ate chicken.

I had tenderloin fried with green peppers and some broccoli and cheese earlier. Yummy!

The tenderloins -- or inner tenderloins, as some refer to them -- are on the inside of the body cavity lying alongside the spinal column opposite the backstraps. They're usually the width of your hand or smaller, and are somewhere around seven to 10 inches long, depending upon the size of your animal. One each on either side of the backbone.

I had hamburger helper tonight... well, actually anytime I have it, it's deerburger helper.

Thats what the family and I had last night as well. The cheeseburger-macaroni variety is quite good when made with venison!

I was gonna make a new post...but no need to!

I had 1/2 the bull made up into cubed steak. I took a packet out last night when I picked him up from the processor. I patted it down with flour......peppered it real good.....fried it in some hot olive oil......peppered it real good again.....added worcestershire sauce.....and some lemon pepper towards the end.

Man was that good.
