True statement, so it is ok if I shoot him at his peak. He has been breeding for at least 2.5 years than most deer Talk about your contridictions[&:]
Killing a buck with supreme genetics in the prime of his life is nothing short of moronic if "herd health" is really your goal.

People who own and breed thoroughbred horses would tend to disagree
Yes, but again we are talking deer. Please stay focused you are wandering tonight There are plenty of big ones to replace him. Why you have little ones If your theory was correct then deer herd in Iowa and ILL would be getting worst. Why are they getting better? More big deer are shot every year. Even MI is getting better, man things do not make sense

Atlas, I don't want to force you or anyone else into doing something you don't want to do,but I like to shoot bigger bucks than I have previously shot.

If the state will make it possible for me to do it then I'm all for it.

If everyone is shooting bucks before they get old enough to get bigger than anything I have shot, then it will be nearly impossible to accomplish my goal.

As far as your WOW, you may not like it, but that is the world we live in. Ask Bwanajim why he lives where he does. For some reason it's OK for everyone else to want to have the best, but we have to feel bad for trophy hunting. Nice double standard society has for us.

No I work with them, you should try it. Working with DNR got me Turkeys on our farm.
Is that working with them or selling out??

I am a deer hunter ask a bunny hunter
You know the answer..........and so does everyone else. I don't blame you for avoiding it

Yes, but have you mounted any other deer?

Atlas I am goin to bed.

Stick up for what you believe in NY(We know you will). Get involved we need the smart guys like you to balance out the knuckleheads in office.

Complaining on here does nothing. I have looked at all the states around me to see what they do. Like i said earlier i really like what KY is doing.

Good luck

Well hunting it and living there are two differnet things
Funny how often the rules of your game change

Yes Atlas in deer. Funny how my comparisons are in the scope of what we are talking about, and yours are on there way to Fantasy land to see Tatoo.
Huh??..........when you compare humans to deer it is OK but when I do it it's silly???

Why do you fear change?
I don't.

Why do you promote change with fear?

I agree with you people should shoot what they want 100%, but big bucks is big money so lets be honest and try to get a system works for eveyone.
Yea then we can have the problems they do in many of the big buck states, outfitters buying up land and making it hard for an average guy to finda spot to hunt. We need hunting to become the sport ot the rich right?

Yea...............wouldn't that be sweet.

A deer hunter's Nirvana for sure.

I see and shoot plenty of them So I do not get your point, matter of fact your odds in NY are better than mine in MI
If we both hunted 2,000 acre family farms that would be true

So is it possible that there already are plenty of big mature bucks out there and the herd is way healthier then we know...............because we just don't see them remember??
Yes it would, to bad I only hunt 285 acres[:-] Facts are tough one for you tonight

Well you don't in the QDM zones I see them all the time, just wish they were closer

I thought you said you had 2,000 huntable acres. My mistake if not.
