I hunt all over NY. Just south of Albany on a 600 acre dairy farm (it's kinda broken up and oddly shaped and feel it is not enough to hunt. Neighbors are nuts and there are gunshots all over the place. Last year there were fights breaking out....such a shame. Up north I hunt in Old Forge (Adirondacks) not many deer but the ones that are there are brutes. Have yet to see any other hunters other than the guys I was with. Literally 1000's of acres to choose from - no quads allowed tho[&:]. Out in Steuben County (south of Rochester I hunt on 280 acres of private butted up against 7,200 acres of State land. I have yet to even come close to hunting the 7,200 of state. The other 280 is such great habitat and the success rate there is so high there's no reason to leave. Someday I'll pack a tent and 2 days of food and do it, there have to be some old unhunted monsters there....

I own 10 acres of woods bordered by 80 acres of unhuntable land on one side and about 20 acres that also don't get hunted on the other side . My woods has lots of tangled underbrush for the bunnies , and a good mix of hardwoods and cedars . I have other places both public and private to hunt on , but I think I'll work my property real good this year and think about the changes I want to make to it . So far I'm looking to plant some persimmons to supplement the ones I already have , along with some chestnut , hazelnut , and beech to increase the numbers of deer , turkeys , and squirrels . Paw-paws will also be planted , along with blackberry and raspberry canes . The place is too small and thick for food plots .

I hunt on about 600-700 acres of private land and I feel like I have plenty. It is full of big deer and turkeys!

I hunt on 30 square miles. The good ole Green Swamp in central Florida. It's very crowed and I'm looking for greener pastures.
