What are you guys doing with these sights to have the fiber break so easily? I am sitting here playing guitar on my old 3 pin and can't manage to break them.
I plan in the future replacing the fiber with Fitz, but it isn't because of a breakage concern, rather I know they are a bit better quality fiber.

The Fitz fibers are less brittle (more flexible) and brighter per inch of fiber than the stock fibers on most sights. They're a big improvement over the Cobra fibers.

I added two pins (with the coiled fiber) to my 3-pin Cobra Sidewinder and I don't see any difference from the 5-pin model. Works just fine for me. The assembly was a bit of a challenge to keep the fiber coils flat when putting everything back together. With a little patience it can be done. Good Luck.

Hiking through alder tangles, chest high berry thickets and 5' deep grass. The way the Cobra pins are designed just begs for a stick to get up in between the pin and fiber and snap it off. I've got both .019 and .029 5 pin Sidewinders and I've never come back in from a day of hunting with either one without at least one pin broken. I've even managed to break pins in my modified Lethal Weapon with Fitz Fibers but not nearly as often.

might not run into problems with the Cobra fibers. I agree, theFitz fiberis definitely an upgrade worth making on just about any sight. This winter I am going to overhaul my Sure Loc Sidewinder. New .019pins for my3 bottompins and some Fitz fiber for all. I can't wait to see howbright those pins are.

I would highly suggest you either look at the FAQ section on the website or call them before you order any fiber.
It can be difficult at first finding out exactly what you will need in order to perform the best in low light conditions.
Basically, you can either get the fibers in long distance or short distance.
Long distance would be for sights like the Cobra Wrapped Fiber series. The short distance would be for sights with particularly short fibers for each pin. (Ex. Spot-Hogg sights)
What sight are you thinking about replacing the fibers for? If ya let us know what sight you have, we can help you order the correct replacement fibers.
