Hiking through alder tangles, chest high berry thickets and 5' deep grass. The way the Cobra pins are designed just begs for a stick to get up in between the pin and fiber and snap it off. I've got both .019 and .029 5 pin Sidewinders and I've never come back in from a day of hunting with either one without at least one pin broken. I've even managed to break pins in my modified Lethal Weapon with Fitz Fibers but not nearly as often.
The Fitz fibers are less brittle (more flexible) and brighter per inch of fiber than the stock fibers on most sights. They're a big improvement over the Cobra fibers.
I hiked through a standing cornfield on my first night out and didn't have any problems. But I can see where you are coming from. I guess for guys who don't have to hike through jungle

might not run into problems with the Cobra fibers.
I agree, theFitz fiberis definitely an upgrade worth making on just about any sight. This winter I am going to overhaul my Sure Loc Sidewinder. New .019pins for my3 bottompins and some Fitz fiber for all. I can't wait to see howbright those pins are.
