I added two pins (with the coiled fiber) to my 3-pin Cobra Sidewinder and I don't see any difference from the 5-pin model. Works just fine for me. The assembly was a bit of a challenge to keep the fiber coils flat when putting everything back together. With a little patience it can be done. Good Luck.
