BTS, do you have any information on how solid the back wall is on the dual cams? I know that has been one of the knocks on duals for a long time and I do like the solid wall of a single (I just don't like having my arm ripped off). Thanks

HuntingBry, The Duals are supposed to have 70% effective let off and a solid wall.
I would also like to add that the solid Black riser is gone and we replacing it with a Black Variegated riser color.

HuntingBry,
I shot a Dual Cam BowTech for the last year, and even tho the cams are refined for 2003 and I have no hands on experience with them yet, I can tell you that the ones on my bow had a VERY solid back wall. In fact as solid as the regular Post feed cam did, and for that matter any of the perimeter weighted style single cams with the exception of those that utilize a draw stop peg on the cam.
The draw cycle and "hold" of the Bowtech dual cams is very unique.......like a combination of a dual and single cam (at least that's how it felt to me) It has the smooth start up and pull through half the draw cycle and then stacks up at the end dropping into a definite valley (a short valley but I liked it very much)and the wall was terrific. Very unlike the feel of say PSE's Maxis cams which have a much longer but less defined valley and a spongy backwall.
Of all the cam systems I've tried in the last few years the combination of the BK cams and the Winners Choice string and cables has been my favorite.
I can only imagine how much I might like the new version of these cams.

HuntingBry, I can tell you the P38 dual cam I have has a pretty solid wall. I can pull through and load the cams a little more, but it's very easy to feel the wall and hold against it. The valley is short. I can't wait for the Pat DC.
Matt, guess we were typing at the same time.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
Phil.

what Phil said...Even with the 28" mods on my BKII op2, I had no problem telling where the wall was..no it's not as solid as the Infinity cam, but it is solid. Better than any dual I have owned...well..ever!

Ok so other than the slightly increased price of the Extreme VFT over the ES, and the "enhanced" blackhawk, we are getting better speeds, higher brace heights, new cams, refined risers, etc., etc., for the same prices.
Sounds good to me! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
Ok folks..Of course I've already got me a DC PAT ordered, but what should I get next? My budget will allow for the Pat DC and one other Bowtech until about spring of next year.
I'm leaning towards the wheel bow, the revised Pro-38 or the new E-VFT..any thoughts?

Jeff,
I've got an order in for a Patriot DC as well!
and if the "Bow Gods" allow it (reads the WIFE), I can see possibly a Pro40 Dual or the Wheel bow as well for a 3D rig.
There are so many good bows to choose from in each category......all ATA ranges are well represented.
With all the changes and refinements for 2003 I bet you're having a hard time coming up with a 2nd choice.......maybe once they are available to see one will jump out.
This is gonna be a heck of a year for BowTech.
*And dangit I just noticed I lost another 100+ posts and got knocked back to a "Non-Typical"!!...for the 3rd time! Would you guys quit it! <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> What's a guy gotta do to keep his "Lifer" status around here?
