Basic Lab help

I do not know your breeder as I am an irish setter hunter, but here it is illegal to sell any under 8 weeks of age. Your can take a deposit to hold one but not let it go until the 8 weeks have been met.I also believe that is one of the AKC rules as well. It sounds as tho your breeder is more for pushing out the door type of thing to me. HoweverI am not sure of laws in your area so I can not say what your state allows. I just find it somewhat surprizing that is all.

I am very suprized that they sold at 7 weeks old, here it is illegal to sell a puppy at under 8 weeks of age.. AKC or not doesn't make any difference when it comes to selling puppies...
he was a day short of 7 weeks old
my opinion, thats to early,i think its better if you leave pup to at least 8 weeks.

I got my pup at seven weeks. From what I read, some think its just right; others think its too soon. Supposely, you want to take them when they are old enough to be weaned (taken away) from the mother, yet, not enough to have established a pecking order within the litter. Hence, it would be the individual litter (since littermates develop roughly the same.)

I'm looking after my daughter's chocolate Lab for 6 months. I noticed that she has a strong " doggy" smell. She also has an ear infection, and it has a different, sour smell. She's a wonderful dog and we love her, but I'd like to address the scents she's giving off. I give her acidophilus every day. We find her so loving and gentle.

Hey ros my lab shakes her headall the time so I lift her ears and their all gucky/dirty soI use non scented baby wipes to clean the in side, sof her ears out . I guy I worked with a lab breeder showed me how to cleanuse warm water mist with a spraybottle then gentle wipe under the ear and down into the ear canal just in until you loosen the dirt/wax build up. Then spary again wipe gentle again this should help my lab does,nt have a infection she just rollsaround in everthing checking stuff out with her side kick a jackRussel so she ends up getting a little dirty. I do this about 3xs a wk it,s cheaper then the vet or store bought spray never had any side affects try if you want.
