Hey ros my lab shakes her headall the time so I lift her ears and their all gucky/dirty soI use non scented baby wipes to clean the in side,sof her ears out . I guy I worked with a lab breeder showed me how to cleanuse warm water mist with a spraybottle then gentle wipe under the ear and down into the ear canal just in until you loosen the dirt/wax build up. Then spary again wipe gentle again this should help my lab does,nt have a infection she just rollsaround in everthing checking stuff out with her side kick a jackRussel so she ends up getting a little dirty. I do this about 3xs a wk it,s cheaper then the vet or store bought spray never had any side affects try if you want.
