Zeiss conquest scopes question

My brother in law just bought one. I was real impressed with this scope. Is this a good scope for there price range? I have always bought Leupolds but I might have to give one of these a try.

Any 280 Rem or 7x57 Mauser reloaders out there?

Tring to figure out a good starting point. I hunt whitetails that range form 100lbs to around 250lbs. 80% of shots inside 100 yards. Rare for anything over 250 yards. Thanks in advance.

I use to pay $23 a box for 280 Fed prem. ammo. Six years later the price has doubled. Thats why I am checking into the reloading stuff.

ipscshooter, I am from Mississippi. I think something else is at play. Kinda like the gas companies getting what they want. Only on a much smaller scale.

I have a 280 Rem and a 7x57 mauser both prices went way north. I did buy the Rem core locks for the Mauser and they were $21 dollars a box. I think they were $12 to $15 not to long ago.

Geez I have not bought any for two years. Went to the local gun shop and my Federal Premium Nosler Partition has gone up 15$ a box. 38 bucks a box. Went to walmart same thing. Anybody want to see...

Looking into a set to hunt in this year. The two I have checked out so far is the Browning and Columbia brands. Only thing I dislike is they both seem alittle thin for wool clothing. Anything else...

I have taken one whitetail with these and they work well. I took the shot on the ground and the arrow went through the deer. Still have not found the arrow.
Only problem I have is putting the arrow...
