My pet .280 is a laminate stocked push feed M 70 lightweight..
I bought it in 1988 and since then it has efficiently dispatched everything I've hit well with it, ranging in size from woodchucks to an Alaska bull moose, at ranges from point blank out to 400 yards... I've taken most of the critters with 140 Nosler Ballistic tips, except the moose, which I shot with the 160 Partition..
Factory loads aren't an issue, since my rifle has never had a factory load fired through it..
If I could keep only ONE centerfire rifle, it would be my .280...

It is so close to the 270 that it often gets a shadow seat. Great cartrige, good bullet selection, bad factory ammo selection. My budy has one and he loves it. EJ
