Anybody pass on there load data or good place to start. With ammo prices going up. I think I'll start a new hobby.

I don't have any experience with the 7X57, but I've loaded for the 280 for years. The powders I've had the best luck with accuracy & velocity wise are IMR4831, H4831, & RL19. There if free loading data available from IMR, Hodgdon, & Alliant. This will give you a good starting place. I don't list my loads because each rifle is different and what is safe in my rifle may not be safe in yours. Also, an accurate load from my gun might be terrible in yours. The 280 isn't very tempermental and any powder with a burn rate equal to or slower than IMR4350 should produce acceptable results. I've loaded bullets as light as 120 gr. and as heavy as the 175 gr. Partition with the above powders and had excellent results. The only other powder I would suggest trying if you try 160-175 gr. bullets is IMR7828. Good luck and welcome to reloading.
